I talked to a girl who looked lonely. It made me feel good! :)

Our group of about 100 people made play houses for families in need. We helped about 3-4 families. This made me feel good about myself. I felt proactive and I thought that if I was going to do something it might as well been worth while. Next I am going to try to help my friends tomorrow with whatever they need.

I picked flowers and made a card for my mom. I also gave her a massage after a long day of driving. I felt WONDERFUL! :)
Next  I am going to try and help out more around the house instead of watching TV or going on the computer all day.

Well, I'm taking care of my Mom who is sick by helping around the house and giving her hugs. I make sure she's okay and see if she needs cough medicine or a blanket. She has a really bad cold. I'm praying the Lord will heal and help her.
Doing this is making our family closer and makes me feel good that we can rely on each other through sickness. I feel important.
The next thing I am going to do is make her soup for when she wakes up from her nap.

The Taps for Teens Workbook is better than anything I have seen at my school. I especially liked the quotes.

I helped my volleyball team earn money by planting trees for the city. I felt tired, but happy that I could help my community and school, even though I might not make the team in the fall.

Bought a friend a music book so her daughter could take lessons. I know she was so appreciative!

Helped edit the Taps for Teens Workbook. And then the book helped me in the first week of reading it.

It was Senior week at my high school and all us seniors were  watching the movie "The Blind Side". Throughout the whole movie, these people behind me kept making racial jokes and laughing at the whole movie, that frankly, was not a comedy. It was sad to me that these seniors that are about to graduate, still have immature and prejudice thoughts that could probably get them into some serious trouble later in life. I hope that they will soon learn that instead of laughing at those who suffer, they can change their attitude into helping those that need help, for they might end up just like those that they laughed at.

The My Taps Workshop was so worthwhile! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to attend and I am leaving with your inspirational ideas! Thanks so much!
